Tenants are liable for the water charges and it’s your responsibility to register.
Water charges come into effect from 1 October 2014.
Irish Water are issuing application packs to the OCCUPIER of the property.
This application pack will include an Application Number and PIN which will be needed to complete your application online, by telephone or by post.
The PPS numbers of all occupants (including children) will be required to completed the application - this is so Irish Water can work out your water allowance.
Your application must be completed by 31 October 2014.
Irish Water will then issue bills directly to you, at the property, from 1 January 2015.
When you vacate the property, you will need to inform Irish Water directly of this and they will issue a closing bill.
